News06 Jul 2015

AAEON releases the FWS-7250 network appliance, specifically targeted towards the SME market

The FWS-7250 is the latest addition to our range of industrial network applicances. Powered by the Intel Atom TME3845 or Celeron J1900 a processor, this network appliance delivers an impressive price to performance ratio that stands out among similar devices in the market.

The Intel Atom processor E3800 product family is the first system-on-chip (SoC) designed for intelligent systems, delivering outstanding performance while operating in an extended range of thermal conditions. The processors’ low energy consumption also helps to bring down the thermal design power (TDP) to 10W, one of the lowest in the entry level rackmount network appliance sector.

Offering a variety of expansion options, the FWS-7250 is able to accommodate a SIM card via a Mini PCIe module that grants WiFi/3G/4G capabilities along with the traditional wire-based connection. In addition, the appliance also supports LAN bypass of up to four Gigabit Ethernet ports, allowing it to maintain a full-speed, uninterrupted connection even during device breakdowns.
