Extended Wide Temperature

These products utilise high quality industrial grade components enabling them to work in extended wide temperature environments. They are capable of running below -20C and above +70C and offer further protection than standard wide temperature rated products.

Wide Voltage

These devices and systems have been designed to accept a wide voltage DC power input. This feature is desirable in the industrial market where a fixed voltage level or mains AC power cannot be guaranteed.

ARM-based

These devices utilise a low-cost, low-power ARM-based processing platform making it an ideal solution for embedded applications.

Windows CE

These systems are compatible with the Microsoft Windows CE real-time operating system. Windows CE is suited for lower powered RISC, MIPS and x86 based systems.

Linux

This product supports Linux based kernels. See product datasheet and manual for a list of compatible Linux kernels and distributions (for development and pre-sales support please contact our technical sales team).

RoHS

This product fully adheres to the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive 2002/95/EC, RoHS for short.  The directive covers the restriction of use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment and was adopted in February 2003 by the European Union.

CE

CE is a mandatory standard for products on the market in the European Economic Area. By CE marking a product, the manufacturer ensures that the item meets the essential safety requirements set out in the applicable CE directive.

FCC Approved

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is an independent agency of the United States government that sets standards and governs the testing of conducted and radiated emissions such as EMI.

UL

Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is an independent product safety certification organisation based in the United States. UL develops standards for products, materials, components, assemblies, tool and equipment, mainly dealing with product safety.

The Relio R9 is an application-ready platform for your next product design. The system is based on the 200MIPS Atmel AT91SAM9263 microcontroller boasting a 32-bit ARM instruction set for maximum performance. With up to 256MB RAM and 256MB Flash memory, the unmatched I/O features of the Relio R9 extend the possible uses beyond traditional ARM applications. The Relio R9 is the perfect platform for embedded applications requiring small size, wide operating temperature range, and flexible I/O connectivity.

Standard I/O includes Ethernet, Serial, USB, CANBus and digital and analog interfaces. System designers can directly drive TFT/STN LCDs from the internal video controller and the on-board resistive touchscreen controller, making it perfect for human-machine interface applications.

To provide the fastest time to market, the Windows CE 6.0 BSP binary and low-level drivers for system I/O are included. Additionally, the Relio R9 software package is equipped with the Sealevel Talos I/O framework, which offers a high-level, object-oriented .NET Compact Framework (CF) device interface. This interface provides an I/O point abstraction layer with built-in support for the specific needs of analog and digital I/O such as gain control and debouncing.

For embedded Linux systems, Sealevel provides fully configurable components – cross-compilation toolchain, bootloader, kernel and root filesystem – using a customized BuildRoot with Sealevel patches, additional features and source code samples.

The Relio R9 is housed in a rugged, small enclosure suitable for mounting almost anywhere and is rated for a full -40°C to +85°C operating temperature range. The Relio R9 is powered from your 7V to 30V DC source, or select from a variety of Sealevel power supply options.
