These past two years have been challenging in many ways, through lack of social interaction, the severe illness and even loss of loved ones, and restrictions imposed by health experts to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and keep us as safe as can be.

In the world of industrial computing the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the supply chain globally, which in turn puts pressure on companies in all sectors when working to deliver products and solutions to customers in need. Departments in most companies have had to adapt to either themselves or colleagues, suppliers, and customers working from home, along with stretched lead times and supply issues, and the industry is still feeling the effects of this upheaval.
 
Impulse has shared these challenges, and it is in the way that the entire workforce has pulled together, dug in, and worked hard that has ensured we have managed to continue to operate at full capacity and deliver much needed computing equipment and solutions to customers in essential sectors.

When we heard that the restrictions would be lifted on the 21st June 2021, we decided as a company to reward our staff by closing the office to allow them to be with their loved ones, or socialise with friends as they could before the pandemic hit, a time which feels so long ago.

Since then, of course, a delay to the lift in restrictions has been announced, but despite not being able to hit the nightclubs, or mix with more than six people at a time, we felt the reward would be just as meaningful for our staff — if not more so. The delay was a crushing disappointment for many, so we hope this day off will help lift spirits — especially if the sun is shining!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers and suppliers for their continued understanding in this time, and look forward to continuing to deliver and support their projects as the restrictions (hopefully) lift in July.
