Production Technician

About You
The ideal candidate should have a good working knowledge of computer hardware and be prepared to learn about new products and technologies. Ideally you will have experience and knowledge of computer integration, hardware fault finding and troubleshooting and have a genuine passion to work within the IT industry.

You will be working as part of a highly experienced team, so a positive and friendly attitude and ability to get on with others will be a must. We are looking for someone who will be dedicated to the continued success of our company, with a flexible, positive attitude to their work and doing a good job, an attention to detail and good timekeeping skills.

Qualification and Experience
  • Experience in a similar role, or relevant qualification, would be advantageous but full training will be given
  • Experience of a production/workshop environment preferable
  • Soldering experience would also be beneficial
  • GCSE Grade C (5) or above in English, Maths and Science
  • Own transport would be preferred


The Role
Working with a team of engineers in our custom built workshop and reporting to the Production Manager, your main duties will be:
  • Responsible for the building, testing and integration of products and systems
  • Ensure build specification procedures are followed and in house systems are kept updated
  • Ensure all production paperwork is completed correctly and signed off
  • Ensure production and workshop areas are maintained and kept clean and tidy at all times
  • Assist the Production Manager with the testing of incoming and outgoing RMA’s


       Secondary Duties
 
  • Assist with goods in/out and movement of stock as required
  • Support the Technical Team with managing and maintaining internal systems


Remuneration
 
  • Starting at £17000 per annum + workplace pension
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • 37.5 hours per week, 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday

Supply Chain Co-ordinator

Role Overview
This is an office-based sales and purchasing co-ordinator role providing operational support to our accounting, sales and support teams. The candidate will be responsible for our sales and purchase order processing and materials management within our manufacturing and distribution systems ensuring the company meets our customers timescales and expectations.

Key Tasks
  • Assisting the sales support team
  • Checking and processing sales orders
  • Processing and managing supply chain schedules on purchase orders
  • Managing relationships and negotiating cost prices with our suppliers
  • Monitoring and managing our stock levels and lead-times
  • Co-ordinating production and delivery schedules to meet customer requirements
  • Liaising with customers to resolve queries
  • Additional administrative support to team members and senior management as and when required

The Candidate
  • Experience in an admin-based role is essential
  • Experience of ERP and MRP systems and manufacturing is an advantage
  • Familiar with Windows applications including Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Someone who is willing to develop and learn
  • A driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident dealing with customers and suppliers
  • Excellent communication, organisational and multi-tasking skills
  • A team player yet able to work independently

The role is based in our new HQ in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am - 17.30pm, 1 hour for lunch
Permanent, full-time
Expected start date: 03/05/2021
Salary: £18,000.00-£20,000.00 per year, depending on experience
