The GENE-CML5 3.5" single board computer (SBC) features the latest Intel 10th Generation Core i3/i5/i7 processors, supporting CPUs with 8-core, 16-thread technology with a boost frequency of up to 4.4GHz. 

The GENE-CML5 leverages the LGA1200 socket to allow developers and end-users to easily maintain and update the base platform to meet their demanding processing requirements. The GENE-CML5 supports up to 64GB DDR4 2933MHz of system memory, delivering desktop system performance in a sub-compact embedded board package. Additionally, the on-board Intel Q470E chipset offers additional features like TPM 2.0, Intel vPro and Intel Active Management Technology (iAMT) for reliable and remote system monitoring and management.

Desktop performance in a sub-compact footprint

The GENE-CML5 offers developers and users desktop performance in a sub-compact 3.5" form factor making it perfect for deploying Edge AI applications where they’re needed, featuring triple display outputs DPP++, VGA and LVDS and a comprehensive level of I/O for easily connecting devices via dual Gigabit Ethernet, two USB3.2 Gen2, four USB2.0 and two RS-232/422/485 serial ports. 

For expandability, the GENE-CML5 offers an M.2 2280 M-Key slot which can support AI platform co-processors, such as Intel Movidius Myriad X or Google TPU, as well as NVMe storage. Additionally, there is an optional PCIe 3.0 (x4) expansion slot via the flexible printed circuit interface and two SATA III sockets for additional storage requirements. 

For machine builders and OEMs, the GENE-CML5 also comes with an on-board LVDS graphical interface for pairing directly to a flat panel LCD. As part of our Embedded System Services, Impulse can offer a complete board to display pairing service including the display of your choice, a custom display BIOS plus interface cables for an all-in-one or modular HMI solution.
