ICR-2000 4G LTE routers

The ICR-2000 from Advantech is a series of small cost-effective 4G LTE cellular routers, providing fast, secure, and reliable connectivity for remote or difficult to reach locations. The ICR-2000 series is designed to run on the Category 4 LTE network but supports fallback to older 3G/UMTS/HSPA+ and 2G/GPRS/EDGE networks. The peak download speed for Cat. 4 LTE is 150Mbps and the peak upload speed is 50Mbps.
ICR-2000 routers support VPN tunnels and various protocols to ensure safe communication, providing diagnostic functions including automatic monitoring of wireless and wired connections, automatic restart in case of connection loss, and a hardware watchdog. The ICR-2000 series routers are built on the ICR-OS operating system — a Linux platform that offers developers and administrators the flexibility to customise and program their own SW applications in Python, C/C++. Furthermore, the ICR-2000 series can use the existing Router Apps library with ready-to-use software developed to enhance specific router functionality, including industrial protocol conversions and support for IoT platforms such as MS Azure, Cumulocity and others.

All three models are compact DIN-rail mountable with an metal IP30 rated chassis, and support both wide operating temperature and wide input voltage of 9 to 48V DC, which is ideal for remote areas where power voltages can be less consistent. The main markets that these cost-effective entry-level cellular routers target are CCTV stations, ANPR systems and remote monitoring in the environmental and energy sectors.

The only area where the routers differ is how many ports and what you can connect to them. The ICR-2031 cellular router is equipped with one 10/100 Ethernet port and one digital input and output (I/O). The ICR-2431 cellular router is equipped with two independently configurable 10/100 Ethernet ports (LAN or WAN), one RS-232, one RS-485 port and one digital input and output (I/O). The ICR-2531 cellular router is equipped with four 10/100 Ethernet ports, with one digital input and output (I/O).
