Hot on the heels of our recent news about our
re-certification with Achilles UVDB, we are pleased to confirm that Impulse have again undertaken the process of becoming JOSCAR accredited.
The JOSCAR accreditation system is a well-respected and highly utilised platform for the aerospace, defence and security industries and enables buyers for organisations in these industries to quickly find suppliers that are assessed via the JOSCAR pre-qualification process.
Each accredited supplier is evaluated for information or compliance on a number of business processes and practices.
These include:
- Human resources
- Financial and legal
- Insurance cover
- Anti-bribery & corruption and ethics & compliance
- Health and safety
- Environmental and sustainability practices
- Quality Management
- Product safety
- Data privacy and GDPR
- Corporate social responsibility
- Business continuity
- Brexit readiness
Having met or exceeded the necessary standards required to be confirmed as JOSCAR Stage 2 accredited, Impulse plan to further develop our presence in these markets and support our customers looking to procure industrial and embedded computing and communications solutions for their specialised projects and applications.
Impulse Commercial Director, Craig Stone says -
“As part of our ongoing strategy to offer Industry Insight and Technology know-how, we are dedicated to digging that little bit deeper to truly understand the eco-system, demands and challenges of the various markets in which we operate. This latest JOSCAR accreditation, further highlights our competence to support our customers’ requirements and compliance demands in the defence, aerospace and security sectors”.About JOSCAROperated by Hellios, JOSCAR (the Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register) is a cross-sector collaboration solution which reduces the time, cost, resources and duplication needed to provide information to major customers within the defence, aerospace and security sectors. JOSCAR acts as a single repository for supplier pre-qualification and compliance information that can then be utilised by the JOSCAR registered buyers.
One of the key aims of JOSCAR is to ensure that the information that suppliers and third parties are asked to provide to their clients is proportionate to the types of goods of services being supplied. A dynamic two-stage process is used to ensure that the process is tailored, and therefore as efficient as possible.
