Our customer in the transportation industry needed a high performance rack mount PC for an in-vehicle control application, which required shock and vibration protection. Generally, rack mount PCs are designed to be installed in stable environments, therefore, we had to create a bespoke system for the customer.

Working alongside our manufacturing partners, we designed a solution to fit the customer’s computing and display requirements with MIL-STD compliance.

What mounting options are avaliable?

  • Our range of E-mark certified computers offers several mounting options, including VESA, DIN-rail, wall mounting, and rack mounting. We can even provide bespoke mounted PCs for a variety of in-vehicle applications.

Are in-vehicle computers EN 50155 certified?

  • EN 50155 is a railway standard. However, products with this certification share similar characteristics to E-Mark vehicles, for example, resilience to shock and vibration. EN 50155-certified systems are suitable for in-vehicle applications where E-Mark is not mandatory for compliance, but where a more rugged system is required.
