How Do PoE Extenders Help?

Standard Ethernet cabling is limited to 100m, which can restrict the placement of cameras, sensors and access points in large or complex sites. A PoE extender boosts this reach while maintaining both power and data delivery over the same line, enabling devices to be positioned exactly where UK industrial, transport or security installations require them.

When Should You Use Injectors and Splitters?

Injectors are ideal when a switch does not natively support PoE. They supply power onto the Ethernet line, allowing devices such as wireless access points, IP cameras or edge sensors to operate from a single cable. PoE splitters perform the opposite, separating power and data at the device side, which is especially useful when equipment needs network connectivity but operates at a different voltage or has no native PoE support.
