How Do Gateways Manage Large Numbers of Modbus Devices?
Some models support routing to hundreds of Modbus nodes, with features like response time control and packet segmentation to maintain stable performance across busy networks.

Are There Security Considerations for Modbus Integration?
Modbus itself has no built-in authentication. Industrial gateways often add features such as secure management interfaces and IP filtering to help protect critical infrastructure when connecting Modbus devices to wider Ethernet networks.

What About Long-Term Compatibility?
