Our technical engineering team recently built another batch of 15 MOXA MC-3201 PCs for a client in the marine industry.
Known for their durability, these fanless, solid-state storage PCs are designed to operate within a wide temperature range of -20°C to +55°C, making them ideal for the demanding conditions at sea.
In the workshop, we flash the customer’s bespoke system image onto SSDs before installing them into each of the devices. This means that the PCs are shipped with the latest drivers and the customer's application software pre-installed, so they are ready to deploy out of the box once they’re shipped. Each PC was then tested individually with PC Doctor to ensure they all have optimal system health.
A critical feature of the MC-3201 PCs is their NMEA (National Marine Electronics Association) ports. These ports facilitate communication with various marine instruments, providing real-time data, which is essential for navigation and other maritime operations. The inclusion of these ports ensures integration with the client's existing marine electronics.
Another significant feature of the MC-3201 PCs is the remote power switch. This function allows operators to control the power state of the devices remotely, a crucial capability for systems installed in hard-to-reach locations aboard a vessel.
We are committed to providing high-quality technological solutions that meet the specific needs of our customers, and we look forward to continuing our work within the marine sector.
These units, with their robust construction, integrated NMEA ports, and remote power switch capabilities, are now ready to support enhanced operational efficiency and resilience in our customer’s maritime applications.
