The VELA RACK and VELA TOWER systems are ‘Powered by Advantech’ and have become a huge favourite with our customers looking for cost-effective, ultra-reliable and repeatable industrial computer systems. Fast delivery, lifetime technical support and 3-year warranty come as standard on all our VELA systems. The VELA range is designed with development and control engineers in mind, offering a vast array of options to suit their individual requirements in a rack or tower PC system. Compatibly sourced and tested processor, memory, storage and expansion card options are all available immediately from our stock for reliable systems with fast delivery everytime.

The future of VELA
Since the introduction of the VELA range, we have supplied hundreds of customised VELA
industrial computers to an extensive range of customers and market sectors. The VELA RACK and TOWER range currently features seven base systems which include a choice of 6th, 9th and 10th Gen Intel Core processors. Impulse continues to hold and take stock of both the 4U and 2U chassis’ as well as a range of compatible
industrial motherboards and key components ready for flexible customisation, in-house assembly and fast delivery.
Looking forward, Impulse will soon be introducing three new systems to the VELA range. A 1U 19" rack PC system aimed at space constrained applications, a twin GPU tower system for semi-industrial AI (Artificial Intelligence) inferencing demands and a VELA HPC (High Performance Computing) system featuring multiple GPU cards for heavy graphical workload applications.

Over the last couple of years, the global shortage of integrated circuits (ICs) has particularly affected the computing industry and shows signs of continuing well into 2023 affecting every business in the supply chain with extended lead-times. Leveraging our close relationship with
Advantech, Impulse have taken a much more proactive approach to component stocking than a traditional build to order model. By committing to holding significant numbers of chassis, motherboard and component stock in our 35,000 sq. ft. facility, we have been able to build, test and deliver our entire VELA range within a matter of days, mitigating lead times and saving precious time and money for customers requiring a custom system.
