Industrial backplanes act as the shared spine of your system, carrying power, signals and data between multiple cards and modules. CPU blades, I/O boards, fieldbus interfaces and specialist cards all plug into a single, managed connection plane, which keeps wiring neat and simplifies fault finding. When requirements change, you can swap or add cards on the backplane rather than redesigning the whole control or rack system.
