The
RSB-3810 2.5” single board computer from
Advantech is their first to include a MediaTek ARM CPU following the announcement of their collaboration in 2022. It is built around the MediaTek Genio 1200, a premium System-on-Chip (SoC) that is one of the top performing processors in its class. It is further paired with 8GB of high speed LPDDR4 system memory and 32GB of storage, with a range of comprehensive I/O for industrial IoT and robotics applications.
The MediaTek Genio 1200 is an octa-core CPU featuring quad-core Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A55 processors paired with an ARM Mali-G57 MC5 graphics processor and a dual-core AI processor supporting INT8, INT16, or even precision focused FP16 up to 4.8 TOPS. This offers 10x the performance offered by the NVIDIA Jetson Nano platform.
A Broad Range of I/O
The RSB-3810 is geared towards edge applications and as a result comes with a broad selection of I/O and expansion options. In addition to its two USB ports, there is serial support for RS-232/422/485 along with MIC-in and Line-out audio connectors. For network communication there are two Gigabit Ethernet ports and an M.2 3052 B-key expansion port for adding a 5G cellular module.
For vision I/O, there are three 4-lane MIPI camera interfaces, an HDMI2.0 port and a dual channel LVDS port for pairing directly with a flat panel display. Additionally, the single board computer has a UIO40-Express system which is a unique expansion platform from Advantech offering a range of additional I/O boards including serial, CAN, digital I/O, GigaLAN and storage enabling you to tailor the system to suit more specific application demands all whilst offering wide -20°C to +60°C operating temperature support.
