The Advantech AIMB-789 is a high-performance ATX industrial motherboard designed to excel in edge AI, machine vision, factory automation, and embedded server applications. Based on the Intel LGA 1851 socket and Q870 chipset, it supports the latest Intel Core Ultra 9/7/5 processors, offering enhanced processing power for demanding workloads.
With support for up to 192GB of DDR5-5600 memory across 4x DIMM slots, the AIMB-789 delivers high-speed, reliable performance for data-heavy and real-time applications. The board includes triple display outputs, DisplayPort, HDMI, and VGA, supporting multiple high-resolution screens, ideal for industrial control panels, digital signage, and monitoring systems.
Connectivity is extensive, with 2x Intel Gigabit Ethernet ports (I219-LM and I210-AT), 4x SATA 3.0 connectors, and an M.2 PCIe Gen 5 slot for fast NVMe storage. The board also offers 8x USB ports (including USB 3.2 Gen 2, Gen 1, and USB 2.0) and 6x serial ports (5x RS-232 and 1x RS-232/422/485), making it highly compatible with both legacy and modern industrial equipment.
Expansion options include 1x PCIe Gen 5 x16 slot, 1x PCIe Gen 4 x8 (x4 link), 3x PCIe Gen 4 x4 slots, and 1x legacy PCI slot. This flexible expansion layout allows integration of GPUs, data acquisition cards, frame grabbers, or additional I/O modules.
Designed for industrial environments, the AIMB-789 supports an operating temperature range of 0°C to 60°C and storage temperatures from -40°C to 85°C. It features a watchdog timer, AMI SPI BIOS, dTPM 2.0 support, chassis intrusion detection, and iBMC remote management for secure, long-term deployment in mission-critical systems.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
