The EDS-405A-EIP is a compact Layer 2 managed switch tailored for EtherNet/IP deployments. Five 10/100Base-T(X) ports connect PLCs, HMIs and remote I/O, while Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain provide fast recovery under 20 ms to maintain line availability. RSTP/STP and ring coupling ensure compatibility with mixed redundancy schemes across plant networks.
Configuration and maintenance are straightforward: use the browser-based GUI, CLI, Telnet or the serial console, plus a Windows utility and ABC-01 for rapid configuration backup and restore. Traffic tools include IGMP snooping for multicast control, IEEE 802.1Q and port-based VLAN for segmentation, QoS for deterministic performance, bandwidth limits, and port mirroring for live troubleshooting. EtherNet/IP is enabled by default, with Modbus TCP also supported.
Built for industry, the switch features dual 12/24/48 VDC power inputs (9.6–60 VDC operating), reverse-polarity/overload protection, an alarm relay and DI for system alerts, and a rugged IP30 metal enclosure for DIN-rail mounting. This model is suited to control cabinets and indoor installations requiring reliable, manageable switching without fibre uplinks.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
