The EDS-405A-PN Series is a compact, entry-level managed switch line designed for reliable PROFINET connectivity on the factory floor. With five 10/100Base-T(X) ports and PROFINET Device mode enabled out of the box, it drops straight into Siemens-centric cells and lines. Redundant Ethernet technologies, including Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain with recovery under 20 ms (at up to 250 switches), plus standards-based RSTP/STP, keep control traffic flowing during link or node failures.
Engineers can shape and secure traffic using IGMP snooping for multicast control, IEEE 802.1Q and port-based VLAN for segmentation, QoS (IEEE 802.1p/ToS) for deterministic performance, bandwidth management and port mirroring for live diagnostics. Management fits your workflow: an intuitive web GUI, CLI, Telnet/serial console and Windows utility streamline setup, while ABC-01 supports rapid configuration backup and restore. SNMPv1/v2c/v3, RMON and syslog simplify fleet-wide monitoring and alerting.
Industrial power and protection are standard. Dual 12/24/48 V DC inputs (9.6–60 V DC operating) provide redundancy, with reverse polarity and overload protection. An alarm relay output reports power or port events to the panel. The robust IP30 metal enclosure supports DIN-rail or wall mounting and is available in standard -10 to 60°C or extended -40 to 75°C operating ranges to suit conditioned cabinets or harsh environments.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
