CE is a mandatory standard for products on the market in the European Economic Area. By CE marking a product, the manufacturer ensures that the item meets the essential safety requirements set out in the applicable CE directive.
This product fully adheres to the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive 2002/95/EC, RoHS for short.  The directive covers the restriction of use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment and was adopted in February 2003 by the European Union.
Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is an independent product safety certification organisation based in the United States. UL develops standards for products, materials, components, assemblies, tool and equipment, mainly dealing with product safety.
These products use heatsink, heatpipe and extrusion technology to dissipate the heat generated by the system rather than using traditional fans thus improving system reliability and longevity.
This product supports Linux based kernels. See product datasheet and manual for a list of compatible Linux kernels and distributions (for development and pre-sales support please contact our technical sales team).
IEEE 1613 Environmental and testing requirements for communications networking devices in electric power substations.
These devices and systems have been designed to accept a wide voltage DC power input. This feature is desirable in the industrial market where a fixed voltage level or mains AC power cannot be guaranteed.
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is an independent agency of the United States government that sets standards and governs the testing of conducted and radiated emissions such as EMI.
These products utilise high quality industrial grade components enabling them to work in wide temperature environments. They are capable of running as low as -20C and as high as +70C.
These products come with a standard three year manufacturer warranty.

  • Embedded Debian 8 Linux (Windows 10 optional)
  • Supports wide 110V to 240V V DC and 100V to 240V AC power inputs
  • Wide -25°C to +55°C operating temperature
The DA-720-DPP series computers are x86 platforms with 14x Gigabit Ethernet ports, 2x isolated RS-232/422/485 serial ports, USB, VGA, and 2x PCIe ports for expansion modules.

The DA-720-DPP comes in a standard 19-inch 2U rack-mountable case with a robust design ideal for specialised industrial automation applications, including power substations, transportation and shipping, and oil and gas production and supply.

With IEC-61850-3 and IEEE 1613 compliance, the DA-720-DPP is sure to deliver stable and reliable system operation for power applications. The DA-720-DPP also complies with the IEC 60255 standards which cover the protection of electrical relays in a smart substation.

IEC 60255 is one of the most widely used standards for testing relays and protection equipment, and compliance with the standard ensures that the DA-720-DPP will work reliably and seamlessly with IEDs as part of a robust substation automation system.

EN 50121-4 compliance confirms that the DA-720-DPP can deliver stable and reliable system operations in rail applications. In station ISCS (Integrated Supervisory Control System) and wayside control and monitoring systems, a powerful front-end processor is needed for controlling the local SCADA and traction power relay house.

The expandable serial interfaces and 14x Gigabit Ethernet ports enable the integration of station subsystems, including AFC, PAS, PSD, and FAS, on a single platform. For wayside applications, you can also integrate disaster prevention, traction power, and signaling and safety systems to provide an integrated view of your smart rail setup.

The DA-720-DPP comes with one of two different CPU options, and basic models that allow system designers to install the mSATA, RAM, and operating system according to their specific requirements. Such a wide choice of options is particularly welcome when it comes to designing customized industrial solutions.

The DA-720-DPP comes with two PCIe ports for expansion modules, including an 8-port RS-232/422/485 module, as well as 4-port and 8-port 10/100/1000 Mbps LAN modules. The DA-720-DPP computers can support up to 22x Gigabit LAN ports plus 10x serial ports, or 14x Gigabit LAN ports and 18x serial ports, making the DA-720-DPP an ideal solution for a wide range of industrial automation applications.
