The EKI-2728NI is a compact unmanaged industrial Gigabit Ethernet switch designed to deliver reliable performance in harsh automation environments. Equipped with eight 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ-45 ports supporting auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDI-X, it offers fast and flexible connectivity for factory networks, machine integration, and process control.
With a slim metal IP30-rated enclosure and support for DIN-rail or wall mounting, the EKI-2728NI saves panel space while providing durability against dust and vibration. Its wide operating temperature range from -40 to 75 °C, high MTBF of over 4.7 million hours, and compliance with IEC shock and vibration standards make it ideal for mission-critical deployments.
Power reliability is assured through redundant 12~48 VDC inputs with built-in reverse polarity protection and overload current protection. The switch consumes just 3.9 W and includes a relay alarm output for proactive fault detection.
The EKI-2728NI supports jumbo frames up to 9 KB for high-throughput applications, and features enhanced traffic prioritisation with PROFINET Conformance-Class A and PTCP filtering. This ensures deterministic communications for automation protocols in PROFINET networks.
Certifications include UL 62368 safety, CE/FCC EMI, and EN 61000 EMC immunity, confirming suitability for industrial automation and infrastructure. With its robust design, advanced protection features, and 5-year warranty, the EKI-2728NI is a cost-effective unmanaged switch for modern Gigabit Ethernet networks.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
