The Advantech EKI-2525M is a compact unmanaged Fast Ethernet switch designed to expand industrial networks with reliable fibre connectivity. It combines 4x 10/100 Mbps RJ45 copper ports with 1x 100 Mbps multi-mode SC fibre port, providing both short-range copper connections and noise-immune fibre transmission up to 2 km.
With support for auto-negotiation, Auto MDI/MDI-X, and full/half-duplex operation, the EKI-2525M offers straightforward installation and reliable performance in demanding environments. Each port includes LED indicators to monitor link, activity, and duplex/collision status, simplifying diagnostics and troubleshooting.
To enhance system reliability, the switch features redundant 12–48 VDC dual power inputs and an integrated relay output for event alarms. This ensures continued uptime in the event of power disruption and provides operators with immediate fault notification. Built-in protections include reverse polarity tolerance and resettable overload current protection.
The rugged IP30-rated metal enclosure ensures durability in industrial settings, while flexible DIN-rail and wall mounting options simplify integration into cabinets and control systems. With an operating temperature range of -10°C to +60°C and MTBF ratings above 600,000 hours, the EKI-2525M is engineered for long service life in automation, utilities, energy, and transportation applications.
By bridging copper and fibre networks, the Advantech EKI-2525M offers a cost-effective solution for extending Ethernet connectivity, improving noise immunity, and achieving stable long-distance communication.
