ioLogik E1512 - Ethernet to 4 Channel Isolated Digital I/O Rugged Rail Module with Modbus TCP
CE is a mandatory standard for products on the market in the European Economic Area. By CE marking a product, the manufacturer ensures that the item meets the essential safety requirements set out in the applicable CE directive.
This product fully adheres to the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive 2002/95/EC, RoHS for short.  The directive covers the restriction of use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment and was adopted in February 2003 by the European Union.
Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is an independent product safety certification organisation based in the United States. UL develops standards for products, materials, components, assemblies, tool and equipment, mainly dealing with product safety.
EN 50155 is the European standard for electronic devices used in railway applications. The device must adhere to the strict specifications of EN 50155 including -25C to +70C wide operating temperature range, resistance to humidity, shocks, vibrations and radiation – all environmental demands encountered in the rail industry.
These devices and systems have been designed to accept a wide voltage DC power input. This feature is desirable in the industrial market where a fixed voltage level or mains AC power cannot be guaranteed.
These products utilise high quality industrial grade components enabling them to work in extended wide temperature environments. They are capable of running below -20C and above +70C and offer further protection than standard wide temperature rated products.
These products come with a standard five year manufacturer warranty.

The ioLogik E1512 Ethernet remote I/O product has a ruggedised aluminum housing, and is compliant with EN 50121-3-2, EN 50121-4 and essential sections of EN 50155 standard, both of which are essential for electronic equipment used in rolling stock applications. This rugged platform features a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C to deliver consistent performance in harsh environment.

Channel to channel isolation provides the most robust protection against electrical surges. With this topology, each DI channel on the ioLogik E1512 is individually isolated to ensure highly stable data communication. In cases of high surge events such as lighting strikes, the device is protected from current surge by this channel isolation feature. This is a critical requirement in railway applications when considering an Ethernet-based I/O solution.

Moxa’s patented Active OPC Server is a software package that operates as an OPC driver for HMI and SCADA systems . The Active OPC server enables the ioLogik E1512 to actively communicate with the SCADA system  to provide instant I/O status.

Impulse supplies and configures a wide range of EN 50155 certified devices such as Ethernet switches, wireless communication, embedded PCs and RTU controllers.
