CE is a mandatory standard for products on the market in the European Economic Area. By CE marking a product, the manufacturer ensures that the item meets the essential safety requirements set out in the applicable CE directive.
This product fully adheres to the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive 2002/95/EC, RoHS for short.  The directive covers the restriction of use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment and was adopted in February 2003 by the European Union.
DNV (Stiftelsen Det Norske Veritas) is a Norwegian classification with the objective of "safeguarding life, property and the environment". The core competence of DNV is to identify, assess and advice on how to manage risk. This product passes strict DNV approvals and have been designed to be used specifically in the marine market.
These products use heatsink, heatpipe and extrusion technology to dissipate the heat generated by the system rather than using traditional fans thus improving system reliability and longevity.
The e-Mark is a widely recognised standard in the automotive industry covering the safety requirements of automotive vehicles and their components across Europe. These products are e13 certified and have been designed for the transportation and road vehicle industry.
EN 50155 is the European standard for electronic devices used in railway applications. The device must adhere to the strict specifications of EN 50155 including -25C to +70C wide operating temperature range, resistance to humidity, shocks, vibrations and radiation – all environmental demands encountered in the rail industry.
These devices and systems have been designed to accept a wide voltage DC power input. This feature is desirable in the industrial market where a fixed voltage level or mains AC power cannot be guaranteed.
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is an independent agency of the United States government that sets standards and governs the testing of conducted and radiated emissions such as EMI.
These products utilise high quality industrial grade components enabling them to work in extended wide temperature environments. They are capable of running below -20C and above +70C and offer further protection than standard wide temperature rated products.

The tBOX324-894-FL is a rugged and durable embedded computer designed for the harsh world of rail, marine and in-vehicle based computing. With specific certifications such as EN 50155, EN 50121, eMark e13, ISO 7637, DNV2.4 and IEC 60945 compliance the tBOX324-894-FL is suitable for applications such as on-board device control, fleet / train management and digital signage systems.

Designed from the ground up specifically for rail, marine and in-vehicle applications, the tBOX324-894-FL supports two hot-swappable 2.5” HDD/SSD hard drives, modular I/O including four Gigabit Ethernet ports (RJ45 or M12), up to four isolated serial ports and an optional CANbus port.

To further enhance the communication abilities of the tBOX324-894-FL, it comes with three internal mini PCI-Express slots and one SIM expansion slot, which enables you to add WiFi, 3G/4G and GPS functionality to the overall system.
