Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is an independent product safety certification organisation based in the United States. UL develops standards for products, materials, components, assemblies, tool and equipment, mainly dealing with product safety.
This device supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) which describes any of several standardised or ad-hoc systems which pass electrical power along with data on Ethernet cabling.
EN 50155 is the European standard for electronic devices used in railway applications. The device must adhere to the strict specifications of EN 50155 including -25C to +70C wide operating temperature range, resistance to humidity, shocks, vibrations and radiation – all environmental demands encountered in the rail industry.
These devices and systems have been designed to accept a wide voltage DC power input. This feature is desirable in the industrial market where a fixed voltage level or mains AC power cannot be guaranteed.
These devices have been designed to be mounted directly on to an industry standard DIN-rail.
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is an independent agency of the United States government that sets standards and governs the testing of conducted and radiated emissions such as EMI.
These products utilise high quality industrial grade components enabling them to work in extended wide temperature environments. They are capable of running below -20C and above +70C and offer further protection than standard wide temperature rated products.
These products come with a standard five year manufacturer warranty.

The ToughNet TN-5308-4PoE series M12 unmanaged Ethernet switches are designed for industrial applications in harsh environments. The M12 connectors ensure tight, robust connections,and guarantee reliable operation, even for applications that are subject to high vibration and shock.

The TN-5308-4PoE series Ethernet switches provide 8x fast Ethernet M12 ports with 4x IEEE 802.3af compliant PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) ports. The switches are classified as power source equipment (PSE) and provide up to 15.4watts of power per port.

The TN-5308-4PoE switches can be used to power IEEE 802.3af compliant powered devices (PDs), eliminating the need for additional wiring. The switches support IEEE 802.3/802.3u/802/3x with 10/100M, full/half-duplex, MDI/MDI-X auto-sensing, and provide an economical solution for your industrial Ethernet network.

Models with an extended operating temperature range of -40°C to +75°C are also available. The TN-5308-4PoE switches are compliant with EN 50155/50121-4 making them suitable for a variety of industrial applications.
