Frequently Asked Questions

VELA Systems FAQs

Yes. We can support a range of custom branding options depending on your project requirements. This can include white-label branding, custom chassis, packaging requirements and more. Speak to our team about your branding requirements and we can advise the most suitable approach.
Yes. We can configure and install a customer-supplied image as part of the build process. This can include your optimised operating system, application layer, drivers and settings, ensuring each system arrives ready for integration and reduces setup time on site.
Custom BIOS settings can be applied as part of the system configuration process, and custom splash screen options may be available. Speak to a member of our team to review what is possible for your chosen VELA configuration.
Yes. VELA systems include a standard 3 year return to base warranty, however, extended warranty options are available. Speak to our team to discuss warranty options.
Our support does not stop once your system has shipped. We provide UK-based technical support to help with system information, configuration queries, troubleshooting and lifecycle guidance. For customers ordering repeat systems, we can also help with documentation, build consistency and long-term product availability planning.
Yes. VELA systems are designed to be configurable with multiple options for processor, memory, storage, expansion, operating system, graphics and other I/O requirements. The available options depend on your chosen VELA platform, but our team can help specify a system that fits your performance, environmental and lifecycle needs.
VELA rackmount systems use active cooling and are not fanless. However, we do offer specialist fanless rackmount PC solutions for applications that require silent operation, reduced maintenance or passive cooling. For fanless alternatives, please view our fanless rackmount PC range.
Yes. We can support remote software testing, validation and benchmarking before delivery. This can be useful for checking performance, confirming compatibility or validating a custom image before systems are deployed.
Yes. We can install and configure compatible PCI and PCIe cards as part of the system build. This can include graphics cards, data acquisition cards, network cards, serial cards, fieldbus cards and other specialist expansion cards.
Same-day and secure delivery options are available. Please speak to our team at the quotation stage if your project has urgent delivery requirements.
Yes. Removable storage options may be available depending on the selected chassis and system configuration. Options can include front-access drive bays, hot-swap storage or other compatible removable media requirements.
Some VELA configurations can support monitoring features such as LED indicators, alarm notifications, fan monitoring and intelligent system management. Speak to our team to discuss your requirements.
Redundant power supply options are available on selected VELA Server and rackmount configurations. A redundant PSU can help reduce downtime by allowing the system to continue operating if one power supply fails.
Yes. We hold selected VELA components in stock so systems can be configured quickly to meet customer requirements. This helps support faster turnaround times while still allowing flexibility around memory, storage, operating system, expansion cards, and other configuration options.
Yes. RAID options may be available depending on the selected motherboard, storage devices, and operating system. RAID can be used to improve storage resilience, performance, or both, depending on the RAID level selected. Our team can advise on the most appropriate storage configuration for your application.
