The AIG-502 is an advanced Industrial IoT gateway engineered for secure, reliable data movement between field devices and the cloud. Powered by an Intel Core i7-7600U with 32 GB DDR4 and 32 GB mSATA, it delivers ample compute headroom for edge analytics and protocol translation. Out of the box it supports Modbus RTU, ASCII, and TCP client functionality for rapid integration with PLCs, meters, and sensors.
Built for Azure, AIG-502 runs Azure IoT Edge (v1.4.x), enabling low-latency processing, bandwidth savings, and modular workloads using containers. A built-in traffic monitor and diagnostics streamline troubleshooting, while a robust OTA system provides resumable, fail-safe updates via the web console — from Debian APT patches to full image packs.
Cyber security is first class: Secure Boot helps prevent malicious injection, TPM 2.0 enables hardware-rooted trust, and the platform aligns with IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2 requirements. Hardware I/O includes 2 x 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet, 2 x RS-232/422/485, 3 x USB 3.0, and HDMI, with regional SKUs offering LTE Cat 4 and GPS; Wi-Fi is supported via mPCIe on selected models.
Housed in a compact metal enclosure, AIG-502 withstands -40 to 70°C, meets EN and FCC EMC standards, and carries carrier approvals for LTE models. Whether you need a secure Modbus-to-Azure bridge, an edge compute node for AI/ML containers, or a rugged site gateway with remote management, AIG-502 provides dependable performance and lifecycle stability with Moxa Industrial Linux (Debian 11, long-term support).
