The Moxa EDS-528E Series offers high-density 28-port managed Layer 2 Ethernet switching, designed for demanding industrial applications including transport, power, marine, and process control. With 24 Fast Ethernet and four combo Gigabit (RJ-45/SFP) ports, it provides flexible copper/fibre integration and uplink options.
Resilience features include Turbo Ring/Turbo Chain (sub-20 ms failover), STP/RSTP/MSTP, and MRP, making it ideal for ring or mesh topologies. Advanced traffic control is handled via VLAN (802.1Q), quality of service, IGMPv1/v2/v3 snooping, port trunking, and bandwidth management.
The EDS-528E supports EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, and PROFINET, while offering robust security: SNMPv3, RADIUS, TACACS+, MAC ACL, MAB authentication, and Sticky MAC protection. Management is available via web, CLI, SNMP, serial console, or ABC-02-USB for rapid backup/restore.
Hardware includes an IP30 metal housing, dual redundant DC or high-voltage AC/DC inputs, and wide operating temperature options from -40 to +75 °C. It meets IEC 61850-3, IEEE 1613, UL61010, EN 62368-1, marine (DNV), and EMC Class A certifications.
With a 16K MAC table, 2048 IGMP groups, and a 1 Mbit buffer, the EDS-528E is a robust choice for large-scale industrial networks requiring both density and reliability.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
