The EDS-616-T is the wide-temperature version of the EDS-616, engineered for deployment in extreme industrial and transport environments. It provides up to 16x Fast Ethernet ports through four modular slots, supporting flexible copper, fibre, bypass, and IEEE 1588 PTP modules from the CM-600 series.
Its modular, hot-swappable design ensures that media modules can be added or replaced without downtime, enabling adaptable backbone configurations. The switch supports Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain redundancy (<20 ms recovery), as well as RSTP, STP, and MSTP. Network reliability is further enhanced through the use of VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping, port trunking, and bandwidth management.
Security is integrated with IEEE 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, HTTPS, SSH, ACLs, and SNMPv3. Management options include CLI, web browser, Telnet, MXstudio, and ABC-01 backup utilities. Protocol support covers EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, and PROFINET.
Built for rugged conditions, the EDS-616-T operates from -40 to 75°C and is certified to EN 50121-4 railway, maritime approvals (ABS, DNV-GL, LR, NK), ATEX, and Class I Div.2 for hazardous areas. Its IP30-rated enclosure supports DIN-rail and wall mounting, with redundant 12/24/48 VDC power inputs for reliable operation.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
