The EDS-G508E-T extends the capabilities of the managed 8-port Gigabit platform into extreme outdoor and industrial environments. With eight full Gigabit ports, it delivers high-performance backbone connectivity for video surveillance, transport, energy, and automation systems.
Equipped with Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain redundancy, the switch recovers from network failures in under 50 ms with up to 250 devices, while also supporting MSTP/RSTP/STP for interoperability. Industrial protocol integration with Modbus TCP, PROFINET, and EtherNet/IP makes it easy to connect PLCs, SCADA, and other automation equipment.
Advanced security features include IEEE 802.1X, MAC-based ACLs, sticky MAC, HTTPS, SSH, and SNMPv3, ensuring compliance with IEC 62443 cybersecurity practices. Flexible management options via MXstudio, CLI, web GUI, and SNMP/RMON give operators visibility and control. QoS, VLANs, IGMP snooping, port mirroring, and DHCP Option 82 further enhance performance and policy enforcement.
The EDS-G508E-T is built for resilience, with an IP30-rated metal enclosure, redundant 12/24/48 VDC inputs (9.6–60 VDC range), and a relay alarm for power and port-break alerts. Shock, vibration, surge, and EMC protections are standard, along with compliance to IEC 61850-3, IEEE 1613, EN 50121-4, ATEX, and maritime approvals.
With its extended -40°C to +75°C temperature range, the EDS-G508E-T is the perfect choice for outdoor enclosures, roadside cabinets, substations, and offshore platforms needing secure, redundant Gigabit connectivity.
