The EKI-2728M Series provides cost-effective unmanaged Gigabit switching with integrated multi-mode fibre connectivity. Designed for industrial applications, these switches feature six 10/100/1000 Mbps copper ports plus two 1000 Mbps SC multi-mode fibre ports, offering reliable long-distance transmission up to 550 m.
Supporting IEEE 802.3/802.3u/802.3ab/802.3z standards, auto-negotiation, and MDI/MDI-X, the EKI-2728M simplifies network deployment with plug-and-play operation. Advanced features include Link Fault Pass-through (LFP) to improve diagnostics, and support for jumbo frames up to 9216 bytes, optimising performance for data-intensive applications.
Power is provided by redundant 12–48 VDC or 24 VAC dual inputs, with built-in protection against reverse polarity and overload current. Typical consumption is just 7 W, meeting green power requirements while ensuring efficient operation.
The robust IP30 metal enclosure supports both DIN-rail and wall-mount installation, offering flexibility in industrial cabinets. With a compact design (59.6 x 152 x 105 mm), the switch integrates easily into constrained spaces. Models with wide-temperature capability (MI) operate from -40 to 75 °C, ensuring reliability in extreme environments.
Comprehensive certifications include CE, FCC Class A, EN 61000 EMC standards, and mechanical resilience tested to IEC shock, vibration, and freefall standards. These switches are suitable for mission-critical deployments in manufacturing, utilities, and transport infrastructure.
With a 5-year warranty and proven reliability, the EKI-2728M Series delivers Gigabit Ethernet with fibre flexibility and rugged performance for harsh industrial networks.
