The EKI-9510E-2G Series is a rugged unmanaged Ethernet switch designed for railway and rolling stock environments. It combines eight 10/100 Mbps M12 D-coded ports with two 10/100/1000 Mbps M12 X-coded ports, offering a flexible mix of Fast Ethernet and Gigabit connectivity. The Gigabit ports feature a Bypass function to maintain network integrity during faults, ensuring higher reliability in mission-critical systems.
Built to comply with EN50155 and EN50121-3-2 railway standards, the EKI-9510E-2G guarantees safe operation under severe vibration, shock, and electrical noise. Its rugged IP40-rated aluminium enclosure and wall-mount design make it well-suited to space-limited onboard cabinets and harsh industrial settings.
Two model variants provide tailored power options: the EKI-9510E-2GH supports 72/96/110 VDC inputs (50.4~137.5 VDC operating), while the EKI-9510E-2GL supports 24/48 VDC inputs (16.8~60 VDC operating). Both include reverse polarity and overload current protection, and feature dual input design for maximum power resilience.
With Layer 2 switching features, including an 8K MAC address table and jumbo frame support up to 9 KB, the EKI-9510E-2G delivers efficient packet handling for high-bandwidth applications. Power consumption is just 10 W, keeping it efficient in mobile and embedded installations.
Operating from -40 to 70 °C, the switch is tested to IEC standards for shock, vibration, and freefall. Combined with its slim “flat” form factor, the EKI-9510E-2G is an ideal choice for reliable Ethernet networking in railway and transport infrastructure.

10 Port Unmanaged EN 50155 Industrial Ethernet Switch – High Voltage
Our customer was looking for ways to improve efficiency and reliability, and reduce operation costs and overheads for their manufacturing facility. The initial step in this transformation was to add additional monitoring and measurements to several areas of their facility to allow the collection of usage data from older machinery for analysis. The machinery to be analysed would be located in many areas of the complex, with some sitting in concrete outbuildings far from the source of the main network.
