The IGT-22 is an industrial grade ARM-based gateway. Unlike System on Module (SoM) that's commonly provided as a barebone component, the IGT-20 is based on AM3352 from Texas Instrument's Sitara AM335x family and is shipped as a ready system pre-installed with Debian 9. The industrial nature of the IGT-22 means it is in compliance with common industrial certifications such as CE/FCC, shock and vibration. Another distinction the IGT-22 has over SoM is that it accepts a wider range of power inputs ranging from 8V to 25V DC (SoM usually accepts 5V DC). The IGT-22 has I/Os that are applicable to a range of industrial-grade sensors. It features one USB2.0 port, one 10/100M LAN port and two configurable COM ports (one RS232 and one RS-485). There are 4 built-in isolated digital input channels that accept discrete signals from various sensors or buttons/switches. There are also four built-in isolated digital output channels to control actuators and indicators. Furthermore, for communication, the IGT-20 has mini-PCIe slot and USIM for wireless communication with SMA antenna opening on the top. London Underground signalling engineers required a number of panel PCs for temporary use as in-cab Signal Interface Displays (SIDs) in test trains, to allow the engineers to test the information being sent to the train from the new Thales computer-based signalling system.
