The DFI M8MP553 is a compact 3.5" single-board computer built on NXP i.MX 8M Plus applications processors, available with Quad (1.6GHz) or Dual (1.6GHz) Cortex-A53 variants. Designed for embedded, industrial, and AIoT workloads, the SBC integrates a GC7000UL GPU, VPU/ISP acceleration, and optional CAN FD support for automotive and industrial interfaces.
The board supports 2GB/4GB/8GB LPDDR4 memory down and onboard eMMC 5.1 (16GB default, up to 64GB). Dual display output is enabled through HDMI (1920x1080 @ 60Hz) and LVDS (1920x1200 @ 60Hz), while hardware video decode (H.265, H.264, VP9) and encode support up to 1080p60, providing multimedia flexibility.

The M8MP553 is engineered for rugged environments, featuring a 9V to 36V DC input, low power consumption (3.6W typical), and an operating temperature range of -30°C to 80 °C. Supported operating systems include Linux Yocto 5.0, Debian 12, and Android 10.
With its robust design, wide-temp operation, and diverse connectivity, the M8MP553 is suited for industrial automation, intelligent medical systems, transport gateways, AIoT edge devices, and multimedia control applications.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
