The MDS-G4012-4XGS-T is the wide-temperature variant of the MDS-G4012 modular managed switch family, extending reliable operation to -40 to 75°C for deployment in extreme environments. IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 certification ensure high EMC immunity and rugged performance in substations and harsh industrial sites.
The switch offers a total of 12 Gigabit ports, with 4 10G SFP+ uplink slots for high-speed backbone aggregation. Additional interface flexibility is provided by LM-7000H modules, supporting copper, fibre, or PoE+ options. Two power slots support dual LV (24/48 VDC) or HV (110/220 VAC/VDC) supplies, ensuring redundant power and maximum availability in critical applications.
Hot-swappable, tool-free module installation and a passive backplane reduce downtime and simplify servicing, while the compact die-cast housing supports multiple mounting options for versatile deployment.
The MDS-G4012-4XGS-T supports PRP and HSR redundancy in accordance with IEC 62439-3, alongside Turbo Ring/Chain, RSTP, and MSTP, ensuring resilient networking. Hardware-based IEEE 1588 PTP with IEC 61850-9-3 and IEEE C37.238 profiles provides precise synchronisation for protection and control systems. MMS/IEC 61850-90-4 and an intuitive HTML5 web interface simplify SCADA integration and management.
With its extended operating range, modular flexibility, and 10G uplink capability, the MDS-G4012-4XGS-T is ideally suited for substation, smart grid, and industrial applications demanding high bandwidth, rugged reliability, and IEC 61850-3 compliance.
