The Advantech ADAM-6541 is a compact industrial Ethernet to fibre media converter designed to extend network communications over longer distances while improving reliability in electrically noisy environments. By transparently converting standard Ethernet signals into optical fibre signals, the ADAM-6541 provides a simple and effective way to integrate copper-based Ethernet devices with fibre optic networks in industrial and commercial applications.
Using fibre optic cabling offers several important advantages, including high bandwidth, immunity to electromagnetic interference, and long-distance data transmission. This makes the ADAM-6541 particularly well suited to fibre-to-building applications, factory automation systems, transport infrastructure, utilities, and remote monitoring installations where signal integrity and network stability are essential.
The ADAM-6541 is built for straightforward deployment, with automatic MDI/MDIX detection removing the need for crossover cables and auto-sensing 10/100 Mbps Ethernet transmission speeds helping to simplify setup. Both the Ethernet and fibre ports are equipped with memory buffers that support a store-and-forward mechanism, helping ensure accurate and stable data transmission between connected devices.
Its compact industrial design makes it easy to install in control panels, cabinets, and space-limited enclosures. The unit supports DIN rail mounting, wall mounting, and stack mounting, giving flexibility across a wide range of installation requirements. Designed for dependable operation in demanding environments, the ADAM-6541 works in temperatures from 0 to 60 °C, accepts a 10 to 30 V DC power input, and includes 3,000 V DC EFT surge protection for improved resilience against electrical disturbances.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
