The AIR-420 is a compact AI-ready edge server designed to deliver high-performance computing in space-efficient deployments. With a 28.6L chassis, it supports up to two 3.9-slot GPUs, making it an ideal platform for edge AI workloads such as computer vision, machine learning, and advanced analytics.
Powered by AMD Ryzen 7000 and 9000 Series processors, the AIR-420 provides up to 12 cores and clock speeds up to 5.5 GHz, ensuring strong compute density in a small footprint. Memory flexibility is ensured with four DDR5 UDIMM slots, supporting up to 128GB with Ryzen 7000 processors or up to 192GB with Ryzen 9000 processors.
The system integrates two PCIe Gen5 slots for AI accelerator cards and two additional slots for expansion, enabling scalable performance for diverse edge applications. Networking is optimised with dual Intel i226 2.5GbE ports and a high-speed Intel RTL8127 10GbE port, providing the bandwidth required for data-heavy AI tasks.
Storage options include dual 2.5" SATA III drive bays, one M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen4 slot, and Slimline SAS expansion, delivering both capacity and speed. Redundant CRPS power supplies up to 2000W ensure reliable operation, while smart fan algorithms provide thermal efficiency with noise optimisation.
Supporting Microsoft Windows 11 IoT and Ubuntu 24.04, along with Advantech’s Edge AI SDK, the AIR-420 simplifies AI model integration and deployment. Its robust design, redundant architecture, and strong compute performance make it a dependable platform for enterprise-grade edge AI.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
