The EDS-405A-PTP-T brings hardware-based IEEE 1588v2 PTP timing to harsh environments. With a −40 to 75°C operating range, it maintains precise clock synchronisation and rapid recovery where equipment faces extreme cold, heat or wide temperature swings. Five 10/100Base-T(X) ports interconnect controllers, sensors and HMIs, while Turbo Ring/Turbo Chain deliver sub-20 ms failover; RSTP/STP supports standards-aligned redundancy across larger plants.
Engineers gain complete Layer 2 control: IGMP snooping for multicast optimisation, IEEE 802.1Q and port-based VLAN for segmentation, QoS for deterministic performance, bandwidth management and port mirroring for live diagnostics. Commission and maintain through a browser-based GUI, CLI, Telnet or serial console, with a Windows utility and ABC-01 simplifying fleet-wide rollouts and configuration restore. SNMPv1/v2c/v3, RMON and syslog aid centralised monitoring.
Built for field reliability, the switch features dual 12/24/48 V DC inputs (9.6–60 V DC operating), reverse-polarity/over-current protection and an alarm relay output for panel annunciation. The rugged IP30 metal enclosure mounts to a DIN-rail or walls and is suitable for use in wayside cabinets, outdoor panels, and unconditioned spaces.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
