The EDS-G508E is a managed 8-port Gigabit switch offering secure and resilient Ethernet connectivity for industrial automation. With eight copper Gigabit ports, it provides a robust backbone for high-bandwidth applications including CCTV, control systems, and data acquisition. Redundancy is ensured with Turbo Ring, Turbo Chain, and RSTP/STP/MSTP protocols, delivering rapid failover to keep critical networks online.
Security features include IEEE 802.1X authentication, RADIUS, TACACS+, SSH, HTTPS, and ACLs for traffic filtering. Sticky MAC addresses, SNMPv3, and compliance with IEC 62443 help protect against unauthorised access and cyber threats. Management flexibility is provided via web GUI, CLI, MXstudio software, and SNMP/RMON integration.
Supporting VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping, and port mirroring, the switch ensures efficient traffic handling across industrial applications. A relay output signals alarms for power or port issues, while DIP switches make configuring redundancy straightforward.
Operating from 0°C to +60°C, the EDS-G508E is housed in an IP30-rated metal chassis with redundant 12/24/48 VDC inputs, overload protection, and DIN-rail or wall-mount options. Tested for IEC 61850-3, EN 50121-4, ATEX, and maritime compliance, it is an ideal choice for reliable managed Gigabit networking in industrial control cabinets and sheltered installations.
