The EDS-G509 Series is a family of compact, industrial-grade managed Ethernet switches that provide a total of 9 Gigabit ports, comprising four copper ports and five combo slots (RJ45/SFP) for fibre uplinks. With support for both copper and fibre, the series offers flexibility for building cost-efficient yet scalable industrial backbones.
High availability is ensured through redundancy protocols, including Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain (<20 ms recovery time for 250 switches), as well as RSTP/STP and MSTP for standards-based topologies. Security is integrated with IEEE 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, HTTPS, SSH, SNMPv3, and port locking.
Management options include web interface, CLI, Telnet, serial console, SNMP, and MXstudio, along with ABC-01 backup configurators for simplified deployment. Advanced features include VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping, GVRP, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and Modbus TCP protocol support.
The switch is powered by dual redundant 12/24/48 VDC inputs (9.6–60 VDC range) with overload and reverse polarity protection. Housed in an IP30 metal enclosure for DIN-rail mounting, the EDS-G509 operates from 0 to 60°C in standard models and -40 to 75°C in wide-temperature versions.
Certified for EMC (EN 55032/24), EN 50121-4 railway, and global maritime standards (ABS, DNV-GL, LR, NK), the EDS-G509 delivers reliable, standards-compliant Gigabit connectivity for transport, DCS, ITS, shipbuilding, and other critical applications.
