The Advantech EKI-2528 is an unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch featuring eight 10/100 Mbps RJ45 ports in a compact and rugged IP30-rated metal enclosure. Designed for cost-effective and reliable industrial networking, the switch provides plug-and-play operation for expanding Ethernet connectivity in automation, energy, transportation, and utility applications.
Built with redundant 12–48 VDC power inputs, the EKI-2528 ensures continuous operation even if one power source fails. The integrated relay output delivers event alarms in case of power loss, helping operators respond quickly to faults and maintain uptime. Each port supports auto MDI/MDI-X and auto-negotiation for simple cabling and fast installation.
Additional protections include reverse polarity and overload current safeguards, ensuring long-term stability in challenging environments. With broadcast storm protection and store-and-forward switching, the EKI-2528 delivers dependable data communication without packet loss or network interruptions.
Its compact design, DIN-rail and wall-mount options, and LED indicators for power and port status make it easy to integrate into existing systems. Operating within a standard temperature range of -10°C to +60°C, the switch is suitable for most indoor industrial environments.
The EKI-2528 provides a reliable, entry-level Ethernet solution for operators needing robust, unmanaged connectivity to link controllers, HMIs, sensors, and SCADA systems across a wide range of industries.
