The EKI-2701MPI Gigabit Mega PoE injector from Advantech can transfer both data and electrical power to Ethernet-enabled devices.

The EKI-2701MPI is IEEE 802.3af/at compliant and provides the capability to serve up to up to 90W on a single port using four pairs of CAT5e/CAT6 Ethernet cabling.

The EKI-2701MPI injector flexibly deploys standard and high powered PD devices to transfer data and power simultaneously through one Ethernet cable while reaching distances of up to 100 metres. It supports dual power inputs via a pluggable terminal block or DC jack. DIN-rail and wall-mounting installation options provide greater user expediency.

To overcome the 100 metre transmit limitation of Ethernet cable for long distance distribution, the EKI-2701MPI-R PoE extender enables the PoE PD device to be installed up to 200 metres away. The EKI-2701MPI injector delivers data and power over 100 metres to the extender and then the PoE extender forwards the data while retaining power to remote PD sites
