The EKI-2741F is an industrial grade media converter designed to convert a copper TX Ethernet network to a SFP type fibre optic network.

The advantage to fibre optics is wider bandwidth, added EMI immunity, and extended distance transmission. Therefore the EKI-2741F is an ideal solution for “fibre-to-the-building” applications in central offices and remote sites.

The EKI-2741F supports MDI/MDIX auto detection, meaning you no longer have to use crossover wires. Furthermore, the EKI-2741F will operate in a wide -10°C to +60°C extended or -40°C to +75°C temperature range and can accept a wide 12V to 48V DC input. In addition, the EKI-2741F is designed with 3,000V DC surge (EFT) protection against over-voltage, meaning the media converter is ideal for the harsh industrial environment.

Aside from its standard features, the versatile EKI-2741SX also has the LFP (Link Fault Pass-through) feature. When one side of the link fails, the other side continues transmitting packets, and waiting for a response that never arrives from the disconnected side. EKI-2741SX will force the link to shut down as soon as noticed that the other link has failed, giving the application software a chance to react to the situation.

Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).

When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.

Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
