The GENE-ADN7 is a 3.5 inch SubCompact board designed for embedded and industrial applications that need low-power Intel Processor N-series performance, flexible display output and rich onboard I/O in a compact 146 mm x 101.7 mm footprint. It is suitable for space-constrained systems such as industrial controllers, embedded HMIs, digital signage players, machine monitoring systems, kiosks, automation equipment, edge gateways and compact data acquisition platforms.
The board supports Intel Atom x7000E Series, Intel Processor N-series and Intel Core i3 Processor N-series options, including Intel Processor N97, Intel Atom x7425E and Intel Core i3-N305 support as listed in the specification table. Memory support is provided through one DDR5 4800 SODIMM socket, with up to 16GB non-ECC memory. This gives the GENE-ADN7 a modern memory platform for Windows 11, Ubuntu 24.04.2 and embedded software environments.
Display support is a key strength of the board. The GENE-ADN7 includes HDMI 1.4b, DisplayPort 1.4a and two LVDS interfaces, with LVDS 1 also supporting eDP by BOM change. HDMI supports up to 3840 x 2160 at 144Hz, while DisplayPort supports up to 3840 x 2160 at 120Hz. Up to three simultaneous displays are supported, making the board useful for multi-screen HMIs, panel PCs and visual monitoring systems.
I/O includes dual Intel I226 2.5GbE LAN, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, four serial ports, 8-bit GPIO, SMBus or I2C, audio headers, SATA 6Gb/s and a SATA power connector. Expansion includes full-size mini PCIe or mSATA, M.2 2280 M-Key and M.2 2230 E-Key. With TPM 2.0, watchdog timer support, 12V power input, AT/ATX power support and 0°C to 60°C operation, the GENE-ADN7 is a flexible compact SBC for industrial embedded designs.
