The Aaeon GENE-TWL6-B11-0003 is the higher-performance GENE-TWL6 configuration, using the Intel Core 3 N355 processor to provide more compute headroom in the same compact 3.5-inch board format. With 8 cores and 8 threads and a processor speed of up to 3.90GHz, this model is suited to embedded applications that need stronger multi-core capability while still retaining the industrial I/O and compact dimensions of the wider GENE-TWL6 platform. It is a good choice for projects where the N150 version may be sufficient for basic gateway or control tasks, but additional processing capacity is preferred for heavier workloads.
This SKU is listed with HDMI, VGA and LVDS display support, making it suitable for industrial display systems, multi-screen HMIs, visual monitoring stations and operator panels that need a mix of modern and legacy video outputs. It supports up to three simultaneous displays and up to 16GB of DDR5 4800 memory, giving system builders a useful base for responsive embedded interfaces and data-rich control environments. The three Intel I226 2.5GbE LAN ports are also a major advantage for industrial networking, allowing the board to be used in edge gateways, compact network appliances, production data collection systems and machine connectivity platforms.
For integration into industrial equipment, the GENE-TWL6-B11-0003 includes two RS-232/422/485 ports, two RS-232 ports, USB 3.2 Gen 2, USB 2.0, SATA, 8-bit DIO, SMBus, audio, nano SIM support and front panel functions. It also includes M.2 3052 B-Key, M.2 2230 E-Key and MiniCard expansion, helping support wireless modules, storage and application-specific add-ons. With 9 to 36V DC input, TPM 2.0 and -20 to 70°C operating temperature support, this model is well suited to advanced industrial gateways, automation controllers, connected machinery, embedded monitoring systems and edge computing applications that require extra CPU performance.

Rolling-stock data logger for Siemens Rail
Spurious error messages, especially those from rolling-stock subsystems, can be difficult and time consuming to diagnose. Siemens Rail, in Manchester, wished to install a data logging system onto their rolling stock to transmit data in real-time back to their depot for efficient data analysis by their team.
