The Cisco Catalyst IE3400-8P2S is a 10 port managed switch offering eight Gigabit PoE ports with a 240W power budget and two Gigabit fibre SFP ports in a rugged IP30 rated chassis. Additionally, the IE3400-8P2S is modular and offers a selection of additional units to be attached making the IE3400-8P2S suitable for a wide range of applications. 

The IE-3400 series offers advanced industrial protocols and security features over the 3300 including Cisco TrustSec, Quadbox, Macsec, IOx, Ege compute and Cyber Vision. with these advanced features, you can set up Docker containers to create multiple instances to run Docker images on the switch. Furthermore, the Advanced features of the IE-3400 support Cisco DNA Centre micro-segmentation to enable network policy closer to the edge of your network.

The IE3400's robust industrial design ensures that it is built for harsh environments with a wide temperature range of -40°C to +75°C and with its fanless, convection-cooled design offers extended durability. It has also been hardened for vibration, shock protection and complies with multi-industry specifications for automation, ITS, and substation environments.
