The IMB-X1904 is an EATX industrial server motherboard designed for high-performance workstation, server, edge computing and expansion-heavy embedded applications. Built around the Intel W890 chipset and LGA4710 socket, the board supports Intel Xeon 600 processors, giving system builders a powerful platform for demanding workloads such as AI development, simulation, industrial visualisation, machine vision, data acquisition, high-speed storage, automation and GPU-accelerated computing.
Memory support is a major strength of the IMB-X1904. The board provides eight 288-pin RDIMM or RDIMM-3DS slots and supports quad-channel ECC DDR5 memory. The datasheet lists support for DDR5 6400 MHz with one DIMM per channel and 5200 MHz with two DIMMs per channel, with a total capacity of up to 2TB. This makes the board suitable for memory-intensive workloads where reliability and capacity are important.
Expansion support is extensive. The IMB-X1904 provides six PCIe Gen5 x16 slots and one PCIe Gen5 x8 slot, although the datasheet notes that some PCIe slots and MCIO interfaces are supported with Expert SKU configurations. This gives the platform strong flexibility for graphics cards, accelerator cards, capture cards, high-speed networking, storage controllers and other specialist add-in hardware.
Storage support includes two M.2 Key M sockets, one U.2 interface, eight SATA3 ports and Intel SATA RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 support. The board also includes two MCIO connectors with PCIe Gen4 x8 support on Expert SKU configurations, helping support high-speed internal expansion where required.
Rear I/O includes one VGA output, two 1GbE LAN ports, four USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, audio and one RS-232 COM port. Internal connectivity includes additional USB 3.2 Gen1, USB 2.0, COM2, 4DI/4DO GPIO, OOB header and TGPIO headers. With onboard TPM 2.0, optional OOB support, Intel vPro support, watchdog timer, AT/ATX power modes and -20°C to 70°C operation, the IMB-X1904 is a robust EATX platform for advanced industrial server and workstation systems.

In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
