The MDS-G4020-4XGS-T is the wide-temperature variant of the MDS-G4020 modular switch family, extending reliable operation to -40 to 75°C. Built to IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 standards, it withstands EMI, surges, and vibration in demanding substation and industrial environments.
The switch provides 16x Gigabit interfaces plus 4x embedded 10G SFP+ uplinks, ensuring both high-density access and high-bandwidth backbone performance. The LM-7000H module supports expansion with copper or fibre cards, while dual LV (24/48 VDC) or HV (110/220 VAC/VDC) power modules ensure redundant supply resilience.
PRP and HSR redundancy per IEC 62439-3, Turbo Ring/Chain, and RSTP/MSTP provide fault-tolerant network design. Hardware-based IEEE 1588 PTP with IEC 61850-9-3 and IEEE C37.238 profiles delivers precise timing for mission-critical applications. MMS/IEC 61850-90-4 and an HTML5 web interface simplify SCADA integration and ongoing management.
With extended operating range, modular flexibility, and 10G uplink performance, the MDS-G4020-4XGS-T is a rugged, high-availability switch for harsh substation and industrial deployments.

RMA
In order to process returned goods, Impulse Embedded Limited uses an internal RMA system. Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
