Moxa 1 Port Isolated RS-232/422/485 Ethernet Modbus Gateway: Single-Mode SC Fibre, 0°C to +60°C

The MGate MB3170 from Moxa is an advanced Modbus gateway with 1 port that converts between Modbus TCP, ASCII, and RTU communication protocols. Providing serial to ethernet communication as a serial (master) to serial (slave). Additionally, there is support for simultaneous connection of serial and Ethernet masters with serial Modbus devices.

The MGate MB3170 gateway supports daisy-chaining multiple gateways via its dual Ethernet ports, all models are din rail mountable so not needing an extra switch will make cabling quick, clean and easy. Dual power DC inputs offer an extra layer of reliability for demanding industrial applications. A priority control function can ensure defined urgent commands get an immediate response in larger complex Modbus networks where lag becomes a concern.

The MGate MB3170 gateway can be accessed by up to 16x TCP master/clients or connect to up to 32x TCP slave/servers. Routing through the serial ports can be controlled by IP address, TCP port number, or ID mapping. A featured priority control function allows urgent commands to obtain an immediate response. A relay output is provided for the Ethernet link and power input status. The relay output gives maintenance engineers an additional tool for troubleshooting and maintenance.
