Neousys POC-766AWP is a fully sealed, IP67-rated fanless embedded computer designed for rugged edge deployments where dust, washdown, vibration, and weather exposure are everyday realities. Built around an Intel Alder Lake Core i3-N305 processor with eight efficient cores and support for up to 16GB DDR5-4800 memory, it delivers the performance needed for machine vision, surveillance and video analytics, and real-time data processing at the edge, with reliable operation from -25°C to 70°C.
For outdoor and mobile systems, the POC-766AWP combines compact size with field-ready I/O using secure M12 connectivity. Two 2.5Gb Ethernet ports via M12 X-coded connectors provide high-throughput, vibration-resistant networking for IP cameras, roadside sensors, and rugged switches. Industrial serial connectivity is equally robust, with one isolated RS-232 and one isolated RS-422/485 port via M12 A-coded connector to protect against electrical noise and surges when integrating PLCs, meters, and legacy devices.
Control and vehicle integration are supported through an isolated CAN 2.0B interface plus isolated digital I/O (1-channel DI and 2-channel DO), enabling gateway, telematics, and equipment control applications such as agricultural machinery, industrial vehicles, and outdoor automation panels. Power is optimised for fleet and equipment installs with an 8 to 35V DC input and ignition power control via M12 connector for safe start-up and shutdown sequencing.
For storage and expansion, an M.2 2280 slot supports NVMe SSDs (with SATA signal support), while an internal mini-PCIe slot with micro SIM enables WiFi or LTE connectivity for remote monitoring and cloud-linked edge gateways.

Wireless Solution Saves Time and Reduces Overheads for OT Machinery Monitoring Project
Our customer was looking for ways to improve efficiency and reliability, and reduce operation costs and overheads for their manufacturing facility. The initial step in this transformation was to add additional monitoring and measurements to several areas of their facility to allow the collection of usage data from older machinery for analysis. The machinery to be analysed would be located in many areas of the complex, with some sitting in concrete outbuildings far from the source of the main network.
