The POC-960GC is a compact rugged GPU computer designed for industrial edge AI applications that need strong compute capability in a small footprint. Built around the AMD Ryzen PRO 8640U processor, it provides 6 cores and 12 threads with a 3.5GHz base frequency, up to 4.9GHz boost frequency and configurable 15W to 30W TDP. This makes it suitable for applications such as robotics, machine vision, smart infrastructure, industrial inspection, data processing and interactive edge AI systems.
The system combines CPU processing with AMD Radeon RDNA3 graphics and Ryzen AI acceleration. The datasheet lists 16 TOPS NPU performance and 31 TOPS total SoC performance, giving the platform useful onboard acceleration for modern AI workloads. For applications that require additional graphics or inference performance, the POC-960GC supports a low-profile NVIDIA graphics card up to 70W TDP through a PCIe x16 physical slot with Gen4, eight-lane PCIe signalling. The GPU is supported by the platform but should be specified separately according to the project requirement.
Memory support includes up to 32GB DDR5-5600 SDRAM through one SODIMM socket. Storage is handled through one M.2 2280 M-Key socket using PCIe Gen3 x4 for NVMe SSDs, giving the system fast local storage for operating systems, AI models, image data and application software. Two full-size mini PCIe sockets are also included, with one internal micro SIM socket for wireless or modular expansion.
Standard I/O includes one Intel I226-V 2.5GbE port with Wake-on-LAN, four Intel I350-AM4 Gigabit Ethernet ports, four USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, HDMI 2.0b output up to 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz, one software-programmable RS-232/422/485 serial port and isolated 4DI/4DO. The front I/O layout shown on the datasheet also highlights LED indicators for power, HDD, watchdog and ignition, alongside the DC input, COM, HDMI, DIO and Ethernet ports.
The POC-960GC uses a 12V to 35V DC input via a 3-pin pluggable terminal block and supports remote control or optional ignition power control. It measures 175 x 159 x 77 mm, weighs 1.8 kg and supports standard wall mounting. With MIL-STD-810H vibration and shock compliance, CE/FCC Class A EMC, -40°C to 85°C storage temperature and operating ranges up to -25°C to 60°C depending on TDP and fan configuration, the POC-960GC is a compact industrial platform for GPU-ready edge AI deployments.

Before returning goods for any reason, please contact Impulse Embedded Limited (returns@impulse-embedded.co.uk) to request an RMA number. Please confirm the reason for the return of the goods, providing the Serial Number, Product Code, and Impulse Embedded Limited Invoice Number (if known).
When returning goods, please ensure they are suitably packed so as to avoid damage, are in the original packaging, along with all accessories, with the outer packaging marked with the RMA number. It is recommended that you use a signed delivery service, as goods lost in transit are not the responsibility of Impulse Embedded Limited.
Please do not write the RMA number on the goods or on the original packaging. Impulse Embedded Limited may refuse returned goods and return them if they arrive without an RMA number, or not in the original packaging.
