Moxa’s SDS-G3016 Series is a compact, full-Gigabit Layer 2 smart switch built for modern automation cabinets and Industry 4.0 networks. Choose 16 copper ports or 14 copper plus 2 SFP on the 2GSFP models to mix high-throughput machine cells with long-reach fibre uplinks without sacrificing panel space. A robust metal, IP40 enclosure measures just 36 x 135 x 111 mm, making these switches ideal where space is at a premium.
Engineered for IA engineers and machine builders, the SDS-G3016 family integrates directly with HMI/SCADA using standard industrial protocols—PROFINET, EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP—so assets are both visible and controllable from your existing toolset. Network resilience is built in with RSTP/STP and MRP to keep critical production links online during faults. For rapid commissioning and field swaps, a rotary DIP switch applies profile-based settings without opening a UI, perfect for repeat builds and fast recovery.
Beyond connectivity, these switches support the essentials for cabinet-grade reliability: VLAN and quality of service for segmentation and traffic shaping, IGMP snooping for multicast control, port mirroring for diagnostics, and alarm relay output for exception alerts. Dual 12–48 VDC power inputs and wide-temperature options help ensure continuous operation in harsh environments.
If you need a smart, space-saving industrial switch that deploys fast, integrates cleanly with your PLC/HMI stack, and stays up in harsh conditions, the SDS-G3016 Series is ready to drop into your panel.
